What this is: A beginner-friendly yoga practice for members of For the Girls of Raleigh to build queer community. Taught by Elizabeth, a member of For the Girls and founder of Embodied Yoga.
Surrounded by the trees in this quiet park, you’ll leave feeling stronger, stretched and more connected to yourself.
After class, stick around for a little social with the community!
How much: The class is 100% free. If you'd like to support Elizabeth's work, donations will be accepted via cash or Venmo.
What to bring: Yoga mat, water bottle, and any props you'd like to use (e.g., blocks, strap).
Please note there are no bathrooms.
How to get there: Put "Brookhaven Nature Park" in your GPS. Typing the street address on Google Maps has taken people to the wrong place before.
Where to park: You'll drive through a quiet neighborhood until you reach a small looped parking lot where the Brookhaven sign is.
Where to go: Look for the accessibility parking spot, and go to the left. We'll practice on the wooden deck that's straight ahead.
