Why I Love the Autumn Equinox
Elizabeth | SEP 21, 2025

We made it - the last day of summer. For a lot of us, myself included, we've been eagerly (maybe impatiently?) waiting for the start of fall, with its cooler temps, beautiful trees and pumpkin spice everything.
The autumn equinox marks when day and night are roughly the same. We see this ever-changing balance of opposites in nature and in ourselves, like our "fight-or-flight" and "rest and digest" nervous systems, and our active solar and receptive lunar energies.
On the autumn equinox when the opposites are equal, it's a great chance to appreciate both of them -- the abundance and light that came from summer, and the introspection and darkness that autumn provides.
Pause and take a minute to reflect on these two things...
What is something you are grateful that summer brought you? It could be an experience, an achievement or progress toward a goal, or a lesson learned from a challenge.
What is something you are ready to release this fall? This is something that is no longer supporting you, like a relentless thought pattern, unconscious behavior or habit, or lingering attachment to a negative experience or memory.
And whenever you can, spend some time outside around the best inspiration to fully embody this season -- the trees and their falling leaves.
Let's have a beautiful autumn. <3
